I think that in my minute of the 5th

August I had misread paragraph 3 of (1) by supposing

that the officer to be posted as Official Receiver,

etc. and the officer to be recruited were one and

the same. (The second "another" was read as meaning

"additional to the two for which I have already

asked"). It is apparent to me now that Mr. Harford's

interpretation at A is the correct one and in the

circumstances I think it would be sufficient to put

to Hong Kong only the question of whether this
